A child with a pale full of sand can build a castle - but a grain of sand in my shoe can cause a blister or in my eye can damage my sight or in a washcloth can scratch my car or  on my tongue can spoil my meal.

Erin's Farewell

Hmmm, just found out my current browser -my iPad- will not allow me to upload a picture...bummer. I guess I'll have to ht the PC later on. I had a chance to attend a close friend's farewell speech before serving a full time mission for our church! BEST OF LUCK Erin! You will do great since you are awesome. I also got to meet some of her friends/roommates from college. YEP - they are as fun as she is!

Silence in a silent world

Just wondering...if silence is deafening then what should I expect to happen if I scream at it to SHUT UP?

Facebook face plant

WOW - I made a mistake of testing out Facebook and got sucked into it. Now that the newness has warn off I spend less time browsing through it. Now I guess I should see if there is anything else I can put here (MUST BE FUNNY and EMBARRASING). Let me give it a think!

Skinning a Cat - What does that mean?

Where does the statement "There is more that one way to skin a cat" come from? Did someone actually sit down once with a dozen or so cats to see how to best skin a cat. And, did he really find more than one?

I assume that the cat should be dead prior to beginning the skinning process. However, I was almost skinned alive by a cat once. I was politely and heroically helping down a cat that was perched atop the pointy top of an eight foot wood fence. About the time I lifted the feline from the fence, I found why she was there in the first place.

The dog ran around the corner barking and jumping upward from under my feet. The cat, now perched above my head on my outstretched hands, tried to find a more protected perch. Three bites and a dozen scratches later I decided it wise to end my attempts to protect the wild cat. The cat hit the ground running and basically flew up the nearest tree.

It was at that moment, dripping in blood and bewilderment, that I began contemplating how many ways I could skin that stupid, ungrateful cat!
